Business hours

To better meet the business needs of the School of Engineering, the loading dock (Room A134) is now open continuously from 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday for shipping & receiving services. Local ordinances do not allow truck activity prior to 9:00AM

EQuad Loading Dock, Room A134

Mailroom Services provides daily pickup, distribution and delivery of USPS, International and campus mail/parcels. Metered mail is also picked up daily for processing by Main Campus Mail Services. For more information on using Metered mail:

  • Outgoing USPS, campus and metered mail is picked up at 8:00 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. from the departmental mailrooms and drop boxes (located next to rooms A134 and C214) for daily delivery of the USPS and campus mail.
  • Incoming USPS and campus mail is picked up during these mailruns and delivered to the departmental mailrooms between 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. daily.

The last daily pickup for all outgoing mail is 1:30 p.m.

The mailroom also provides a special mail service for MAIN campus hand-delivery and pickup requests.

Shipping and receiving

EQuad Loading Dock, Room A134

Daily receiving, delivering and shipping of Express Common Carriers (DHL, FedEx GND, FedEx Express, UPS Ground, McMaster Carr) and bulk delivery/pickup. Palletized freight, packages, gas cylinders, liquid helium dewars, chemicals and perishables are the most common types of freight handled daily.

The shipping/receiving dock staff provides customer coordination and assistance with deliveries and pickups.

A variety of shipping supplies (large shipping boxes, tubes, pallets, banding equipment and packing materials) are available to use for shipping packages as well as an organizer which contains express carrier shipping boxes, envelopes, forms, USPS supplies, etc.

Other supplies available for customers to use at the loading dock are: 

  • Medical Waste reserve supply of boxes and bags
  • Hazardous Waste Reserve supply of black (acids), blue (bases), white (solvents) carboys & Hazardous Waste Labels
  • Refrigerator and freezer for temporary storage of perishables

Shipping information

eShipGlobal is an intuitive and easy to use web-based tool, in the Prime Marketplace. It incorporates our contract pricing and allows savings to be realized via rate and delivery comparison shopping

All necessary shipping documents are printed right from the tool. Your eShipGlobal account includes payment information via your University issued credit card. Charges are audited to ensure they are compliant with the service received, and reporting is available in the tool for your shipment history. Once your account is established, please discard your pre-printed airway bills and discontinue use of your existing individual FedEx and UPS accounts.
