Friend Center classrooms and computer clusters

Friend Center computer cluster – room 017

Friend Center 017 Reservations and Usage:  This room contains public computers available for student use.  These high-end computers offer access to general, as well as course-specific software.  The clusters are open to all students, however, Engineering and Computer Science students have priority for use.  Room reservations  must be submitted at least three days prior to the planned event. The room can be reserved for use by a class or other group.

Friend Center 017 Room Policy and General Information:

Confirmation: If the room is available, your reservation request will be confirmed within 2 business days via email.

Capacity:  The room contains 20 iMac computers running the OIT cluster image and a network printer.  The list of software is available for review here.

Building Access: Friend Center exterior doors are open 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday. For all events on weekends or after 7:00 PM please fill out the Public Safety Form found on the reservation page.

Security and General Inquiries: Do not unplug the network cable for a cluster computer- doing so will set off an alarm, and will disrupt service for other students.   Software needs for the computer cluster classrooms should be directed to Maureen Novozinsky, at 609-258-7503 or at seashelp@princeton.edu.
